Sophie Lemaire is a law school graduate and professor of private law at the University of Paris-Dauphine. She specialises in private international law and international commercial law - more particularly, international arbitration law - and it is in these areas that she carries out most of her teaching and research activity. She has also been interested in investment arbitration, a field in which she has published numerous articles and, since 2013, has been directing an annual column in the arbitration journal devoted to “Arbitral Jurisprudence in Investment Law”. At the University of Paris-Dauphine, of which she has been a director since 2016, she is co-director of the Master of European Law in International Business Law as well as of the Centre de recherche droit Dauphine. Finally, she is a member of various learned associations, including the French Arbitration Committee, whose office she joined in 2016.
