In recent years, the relationship between climate change and migration has been at the forefront of political and professional debates. Some experts envision the migration of tens or even hundreds of millions of so-called "climate refugees," while others question the existence of a direct relationship between these two phenomena. What is the difference between climate migrants and economic migrants? Could the UN's prediction according to which up to 700 million people may be forced to leave their homes by 2030 due to climate change come true? We are going to look for answers to these and similar questions at a panel discussion taking place on November 20th, featuring Calum TM. Nicholson, PhD, a social anthropologist, visiting lecturer at MCC, and Omar Sayfo , leading expert at the Migration Research Institute.
