He decided what truly fascinated him during primary school when he first began browsing colorful maps of the world. His naive desire to visit every country on earth—or at least to get to know them—began to take shape at that time. This passion led him to study International Studies at university, followed by Russian Studies. Thanks to providence, he has had the opportunity to pursue his "map-viewing" academically, which inspired him to begin a doctorate in geopolitics. Some of his most formative experiences prior to joining MCC were his travels abroad, often characterized by improvisation and unorthodox approaches.
At MCC, he aims to build upon this knowledge and share it with both the students studying there and the wider audience who engage with MCC’s research and publications. His goal is to demonstrate how complex and fascinating the world is and how enjoyable it can be to explore it. His personal interests are primarily focused on Russia, as well as geopolitical and other social science issues directly or indirectly connected to it.
He believes students at MCC are exceptionally fortunate, as they gain knowledge and experiences unavailable in traditional academia. He hopes his contributions will elevate the quality of teaching at the Collegium to an even higher level and further enhance the institution’s reputation in the field of research.
