Richard Schenk is a PhD candidate in the Department of Policy Analysis at the TUM School of Governance and a research assistant at the Department of Political Science at the Technical University of Munich. He was born in Budapest on 19 September 1991.

Schenk studied Political Science at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and started his PhD at the Technical University of Munich in 2017. In parallel, he worked as a lecturer in comparative politics and public administration and economics at the Bavarian School of Public Policy in Munich. In 2018, he was also a lecturer in political analysis at the School of Governance at the Technical University of Munich. Since 2019, he has been working as a research assistant at the Department of Political Science.

Schenk focuses on the impact of domestic political factors on economic policy. At the MCC, he is working on Hungarian-German relations within the field. He is also an expert on German infrastructure policy and German federalism.
