He has significant business experience at an international level having worked in Dublin, London, Moscow and Prague. A former Minister for Science, Technology & Innovation Lenihan served 14 years in the Irish parliament. Prior to his election he was a senior executive in the telecoms sector. When based in Moscow he worked for Russuan billionaire Viktor Veksekberg on the Skolkovo project where he and his team raised $1.2 billion in R&D investments. He is a published author of two biographies and has spoken at Davos, the Milken Institute, the UN and given master classes on leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship as well as scaling businesses internationally. He was educated at University College Dublin (BA Hons) Dublin City University and at the European Business School INSEAD in Fontainebleu, France.
